Our Lady of Good Hope Parish App FAQ

Here are Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for the Our Lady of Good Hope Parish App:

  1. Q: When I download the bulletin, I get a blank screen. How do I see the bulletin?
A: If you are using an android phone, you may see a blank screen, but you should also see the download arrow in your task bar showing the document is downloading. Click on your download arrow to see the document when download is complete. i-Phones have an automatic viewer pop up so you can see the document immediately.

  2. Q: I can't find the app on my i-Pad. Nothing similar comes up in the search bar.
A: Remember to click off of the 'i-Pad Only' feature on your i-Pad search and click on the 'i-Phone' button. The app will then appear for you to download.

  3. Q: I really like the "I'm not texting; I'm praying" t-shirts. How can I get one?
A: Contact Debi in the parish office (olgh.info@olghfw.com or 260-485-9615 x100) to order your t-shirt(s). They are available for $10 each in adult sizes S-M-L-XL-2XL-3XL.

  4. Q: I can only see the reading for today, but I want to see the readings for this coming Sunday. How do I do that?
Q: It's Saturday, and I can only see the Saturday readings, not the Sunday Vigil  readings. How do I see the Sunday readings?

A: There are 2 ways to see 'all' the readings.
    a) Click on the 'Bookmark' (ribbon tail icon in upper right corner) on the reading of the day. Then click on the word "Bookmark" at the top right of the screen, which will bring up the date and reading references. Click on the date, and the USCCB website will appear with the reading. To the right of the screen, you'll see the calendar which has all the readings for every day on it. Choose which day you want to see the readings for and the readings will appear.
    b) Go to the homescreen of the app (click the 4-box icon at the top right of any page of the app for the homescreen). Click on 'Parish Info' and scroll down to the USCCB.org icon, which will take you to their website. Click on the calendar dates to see the readings you want.

  5. Q: I wanted to make my weekly tithe on the online giving link. It was only for the Capital Campaign. Will the weekly collection be available in this app?
    A:
Currently only the Capital Campaign is available with online giving. We do not have our collection fund set up for online giving. We do, however, have automatic withdrawal from you checking or savings available. Download the automatic withdrawl form here and return the completed form to the parish office with a voided check attached to set up your automatic withdrawal for the 1st of the month, 15th of the month, or both the 1st and 15th of the month.
